Florida governor denies clemency to young killer.

You probably remember this kid.

Since his sentencing, a 15-year-old Florida boy, John Silva, has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for strangling a 12-year-old schoolmate and dumping his body in a septic tank.

Another 14-year-old, Nathaniel Brazill, was convicted as an adult of second-degree murder in the school shooting of his teacher. Brazill is to be sentenced June 29 and could face anything from probation to life in prison.

I just love it when people say "what is this world coming to". You're just all too young to realize what the world was like when you were small. When we're young we've got a very naive outlook of the world. It's not getting worse. We're just all waking up to its realities as we grow older.
 
The world has always been a nasty place, modern media just makes it even more obvious.

Your kidding right. Don't know about you , but when I was in school, I never saw or heard of any fellow student shooting a teacher, another student,etc. The fact is kids are more violent today than they used to be.

OHhhh probation....scary! Killing someone should carry consequences than that...

Prove it. Show me that the violent crime rate is drastically higher now than it was all through the past. And take into account those generations of young men that were sent off to other countries to fight wars, because their absence will have an effect on the statistics.
 
Crime rates, especially violent crimes among teens, has declined dramatically in the last 10 years. Stories like this, while sickening, are becoming more the exception than the rule.
