Antisocial-Virge's ballot is a bit more subtle. It took me a few moments to notice there was no hole for Gore

I still like Skoorb's, even thought its been posted several times before. :)

I like the moron party one :) It clearly fits. I saw some lady on TV last night (in her mid 30's) saying "it's not just seniors that had trouble, I couldn't figure out that ballot either, and I'm in my 30's!". Wow. It must take a lot of guts to come out on TV and declare that you have the intelligence of a below average chimp.

Dunno where you got yours from Skoorb, but the last time I saw it, the word "Presidential" was spelled wrong. I guess the morons fixed that up.

You see all those old people on TV pissing and moaning about how they were fooled and they should get to vote again, etc. C'mon!!! If you're too damn old to read and pay attention when you're driving, how the hell do you expect anyone to create a ballot for you too! Probably 75% of them or better can't remember who they voted for anyway at this point!

Rogue, that is a very stereotypical thing to say. My dad is the CEO of a nursing home and I'll tell you right out that many elderly people are still sharp as a tack!

There have been reports that elderly people WOULD ask for help but the people there wouldn't really do anything for them. Also, they'd come out of the booth realizing that the sheet that they stick in behind the butterfly ballot wasn't aligned correctly so they actually voted for Buchanan instead of Gore even though they knew which hole ON THE BUTTERFLY BALLOT to punch.

Maybe it was a generalization Zippy, but the people on TV were pretty much exactly as I described. Both of my grandparents are in their 70's now and they are both as you describe, sharp as a tack. I'm just not buying the whole, "I messed up my vote, let me vote again!" thing. I'm sure there are other places where people messed up their vote and didn't pay close attention to the ballot, but you don't get to hear them speak out. If Florida wasn't in such close contention and if the media didn't screw up by announcing Bore the winner too early, I doubt you would have seen all this $hit that's going on now.
