I just built a new rig:
Neo 2 Platinum
AMD 3500+
1 gig corsair pc3200
wd 80 gig
480 watt true power
pioneer DVD

My floppy isn't working. First I was getting "insert disk in floppy A" with different disks installed blank or not. I tried 2 floppy drives and 2 different cables. Then I found some help saying the cable may be plugged into the drive upside down, so I tried that and now I get this error "No ID address mark was found on the floppy disk".

Msi says my fdd controller is bad and to RMA the board. BS on that....I'll get an external floppy drive before I RMA the board. Any tips to what may be wrong. Device manager shows the floppy working and I made sure the bios was set at 1.44 for the drive.

Thanks

Well after buying a new drive and cable it appears the problem was the disks i was using. Wierd thing is I tired 5 different floppy's (from the same box, they were old) and a driver disk from an old ethernet card which didn't work and then I found another driver disk from a different ethernet card which did work.

Feeling sassy I went and bought a new box of disks and I've got my floppy drive back...Yes.
