OK, but just like you shouldn't use floppy to back up your data, you shouldn't use zip as your primary backup either. The technology is similar and has similar problems. I look at zip as a floppy replacement. Good for quick file transfers etc.

who mentioned "work" ugg I don't do that any more 4 1/2 years unemployed ( BAS eng for one of the large banks ).
zip drives are not my best flavour of the month , more lost data than a little ( got a case of the click of death ) so that is NOT going to get into the new case.
the more you look into a problem the more difficult it becomes
anyway I have some time before the case ships , no del over weekend ( two golf comps to play anyway ) so it will be next week before the answer has to be found
