Okay I'm sick of these blasted floppy drives, I want to format my computer, and I run RAID. But in order to do so and install my OS back in. It needs to specify a mass storage disc. It obviously finds none since my HD's plugged into the Highpoint Raid controller. I have to always specify the drivers for the controller by inserting a floppy disc into the drive that way I can install windows. But my floppy drive will not work! I bought another one today, installed it, but to no avail. It just says Please insert a disc into the A: drive. What is up? I hope the floppy controller is not bad! Anyway around this floppy disc so I can just specify the raid drivers?

Make sure your bios is set for the right kind of floppy drive. Other than that I'm not sure. You can check and see if your floppy cable is hooked up right.

Hope you solve it.

Hmmm I know its set correctly in the Bios. Another thing is that the floppy drive LED is always on... I know that should not be especially when i'm not reading a disc. Any way around this floppy thing to get Windows installed?

If the LED is always on, your floppy cable is reversed. Shut down and flip it over. Also, notice the twist in some of the strands...? That's there on purpose, make sure that your floppy drive and mobo are on opposite sides of the twisted segment.
