Floppy Drive with Epox 8K9A3+

I cannot get my floppy drive to work on this motherboard at all. I have bought two brand new ones and two cords. None of them work. The best I can get is for the light to stay on the entire time. I don't know what the problem is. It is making me go insane. :/ Anyone else have this problem?

flip the cable on the board around, if the light stays on your got the cable backwards

If I put it the other way it doesn't work. :/
