Floppy drive question

In buying a new 3.5" floppy disk drive, does it matter which brand?

Also, I heard there was going to be a new drive that could turn old 1.44 MB disks into 32 MB (or something) disks. Are these available yet?

Thanks!

yes they're available as the LS240 ide drive!

Don't buy one of those "floppy" drives that hold more than the standard 1.44MB. First of all, you can get cheaper storage elsewhere, and also sometimes, regular floppys won't boot correctly off of that drive.
