Floppy Drive Problems

My floppy drive just stopped working in my computer. I went to microsoft and gateway.com to try to find a driver but I couldn't find a thing. I think that I am goign to take the cover off just to make sure the connection is good. Any ideas though?
 
there really aren't any drivers for a floppy drive assides from the floppy controler drivers. Does it still show up in device manager? It probably just died, that happens. If you double check the connections, and it's still not showing up, it's probably just dead.
