I just recently built a system. The bios wouldnt detect the floppy drive. I disconnected it and noticed the floppy drive has a pin missing. Then I looked at the motherboard floppy connector and that has a pin missing too. Theres not supposed to be pins missing are there? Can I fix it? Can I pull pins out of another device and stick them in the empty holes on the mb and floppy drive?

don't worry, the manufacturer has done that purposely to prevent you from connecting the cable the wrong way!
