Recently I offered to fix an older computer for a friend. The computer wouldn't boot, after looking into it windows was not installed. So I've got win98 on it now and everything works great. Except for the floppy drive. I replaced the drive and cable and that still doesn't make a difference. I also tested the floppy power connector in the pc and it's good also. So all I can think of is that the controller is bad? BTW, the floppy did work once when I first turned it on, hasn't since then. But it knows when the cable is backwards, bc it'll stay lit up. So what should I do? Any suggestions would be great!
