Was looking up some html/css tricks, and came across this page - it made me chuckle:

http://www.htmlgoodies.com/tutorials/web_graphics/article.php/3480021/Text-Over-Images.htm

Before we get into the how's and why's of this method, I wanted to let you know that the images on this page were taken using my new digital camera. It's really an amazing item. It holds a 3.5 inch floppy disc right in the body of the camera itself. When you snap a picture, it writes it to the disc in JPEG format so you can go right to the Net. Not only that, but you can also view the images as soon as you take them. That way you can quickly tell if someone blinked her or his eyes or not. If it's a bad shot, erase it and take another one. Smooth, but a little steep. Mine was just over $500. (My wife gasped as I handed over the credit card.) There are cheaper ones, but not with the disc right on board. I still think it was a good buy. Now...

And that really wasn't that long ago when expensive floppy based cameras were state of the art. Wow we've come a long way...

Indeed. My first Digital camera was a tiny Panasonic unit that took pics @640x480 and stored them on a 'huge' 2Mb CF card.

I had a Kyocera digital camera as my first. I won it from the USA network's Banzai movie show. :awe:

When I left my last job in 2008 they still had a digital camera that used a floppy disk.

Now and again I wonder if people are reading all of the stuff I write.

The article is not dated but the first comment on the page is dated March 2009. We have had affordable digitial cameras since at least 2003. His floppy camera has an obsolete data storage mechanism. I think he is playing games and checking again to see if anyone is reading and thinking about what he is writing.
