Floor jacks

I plan to spend about 100 for a jack + stands... What are some good ones y'all recommend?

i got a torin (big red)? jack from pep boys for $20. worked good getting my accord up to do some tire rotating and oil changing

i think i had one of those from pep boys. the quality felt really shoddy and I didnt feel safe with it. So i ended up returning it. Got a craftsman 4 ton jack as a replacement from Sears. and $100 can get you some good low profile jacks. IIRC I only spent ~$30 for my craftsman jack + 2 stands (they were on sale...regular price was close to 60)

I've got the same set Aharami does. The 4-ton floor jack and the two small jack stands that came with it. I've had it for 2 years now and it works great and has never released accidentally. My pops has another brand that somehow let go on me once. Not all at the same time but all of a sudden I noticed the car slowly lowering down. Torqued the valve a little tighter and that stopped it but that surprised me. I always use the stands with that one now.

I got a good jack and stands from walmart, no need to spend all that kind of cash. I thing it was around 80 for 4 jack stands, and a jack, all rated for a large truck or van, so doing my wifes car, or my astro will be way under its weight limitations. Not to mention I have had them for 3 years now and still work just fine, no leaks or cracks, and jack goes up, and down smooth.

im happy with my set up.
