Hasn't either that exact one or something VERY similar to that been posted numerous times?

My laptop is mobile enough for me 1.1" thick anf 5.5 lbs and much more useful IMO.

Has any of these things ever been released? I always see a nice fancy website about them but never seen one in that goes into production. I'd really have to question the performance of a 1Ghz Crusoe CPU too.

1ghz Crusoe is approx equal to a 750mhz P3 mobile, only it uses very little over all power combined between the NB and CPU. i think about 3 watts last i checked. its amazing on battery life. its basically like a super charged PDA with all the lurxurys of a PC. its far from a desktop replacement though.

just because it can't perform though doesn't mean it doesn't have a purpose or place in the market.

that is pretty good, however, it doesn't have a DVD/CDRW option :(

Both are pretty good though. Our CEO said he's tired of carrying a heavy laptop (Sony Vaio 12.1" laptop...LOL) He said he wants something smaller...think these are small enough? I'm just gonna buy one and give it to him. He'll either think it's the coolest thing he ever saw or I should be looking for a new job :D

yea,the OQO has been out for a rather long time, much longer than this flipstart.
No it hasn't. The OQO product is not "out" at all. The company maybe is older than FlipStart, but there is no working OQO product. If you visit their store you will see that they will not have shipping product before "fall 2004".

Tell you what... If you want to buy a tiny PC..... You can buy the IBM wearable pc from Xybernaut (partner of IBM for marketing and selling it under Xybernaut branding), or you can buy the IBM " MetaPad" which is sold through another partner of IBM's under a different name--Antelope??? I think perhaps.

Not to sound like an IBM fanboy but they are usually the one's that have been there, done that....

And didn't toshiba have a tiny, tiny, tiny laptop out years ago???
