I suspect that you'll get much better cooling performance if you use the duct as an intake rather than an exhaust. Most heatsinks work much, much better when the fan is blowing on them (of course, that depends on the heatsink - what kind do you have?), and drawing cool air directly onto the heatsink can make a big difference to CPU temps. I'd leave things like they are.

i agree with Trippytiger, just check out some of the Lian Li Plus cases that have the CPU duct, the fan is actually an intake fan blowing toward the CPU cooler. Hopefully the warm air will go out though the psu. But generally, blowing air toward the CPU is always better.
