Flint, MI and their police blow!!!

I go to school here, thank god I am almost out. Within the last week there have been a ton of cars broken into (15 in one night!!!) and several more every other night for at least the past week. Now these people doing this only break out the windows and take the change or checkbooks.... no radios or anything else of major value. Now one of the guys went to cash a check he wrote out to himself, the checking account was cancelled ASAP, the place he went to copied his Drivers License and got his license plate number and a face to go with it on cameras. The police were informed of this, but are not following the leads. It is just being tossed aside. A couple weeks aga my room mates car got the locks bashed in a drivers side door handle about ripped out of the door at a local resteraunt that has cameras. Suspect was identified on the video but the police did not follow this lead either. WHY??? No wonder why this is such a crappy town to live in. There are many many more stories I have heard since these break ins have occured, including one where the police told a fraternity that caught the thief stealing there tv to just take the law into there own hands and stop bothering them with such small crimes!!

Hey, do you know the story on how Jeff King died? Kinda crazy, i had a few classes with him.

I know that a few of the houses have sat on their roofs waiting for breakins with guns. Dunno how successful they are, though.

Secondly, do you have all the facts of the number of crimes they respond to? What about the number of officers they are budgeted for? Is their Chief a political appointment? Do they have to spend manpower running a jail? Did they DA not want to issue warrants in some cases? How do you know arrests were not made?
