I'm considering taking a trip to Japan next year, I was wondering from those of you who have traveled back and forth from Japan, how much a ticket usually costs (out of the USA)?
If you fly from Chicago on Japan Airlines, it'll be the cheapest way, as far as I can tell. Flying from Detroit to Chicago, and from Chicago to Tokyo, it's $2800 round trip on Japan AL.
depends on what city you are flying out of, what time of year, what time of week (its cheaper to fly during weekdays) and what time of day (its cheaper to fly mid day or redeye)
Are you guys crazy?! It only costs me $100 round trip, first class.....oh, wait! Mrs. Carbo is a flight attendant. Knew I married her for a reason.......never mind.
Hmm..hotwire offered me one for $750, out of KCMO with one stop. I'm afraid though that I will get there and have a 7 hour layover or something. I'm not sure it shows the times before you purchase it.
Check Orbitz or something. I was shopping around earlier this year, for a trip this summer, and prices were up to $1200 round trip, with Continental. There are cheaper airlines, and there are more expensive ones.
The best prices I found were around $700, with a stop each way.
