I saw MS Flight Simulator 2004 for cheap at Office Depot the other day and picked it up.

Since the game has been out for 3 years now, I was wondering if there are any must-have mods for it. I've googled around but most websites I've found are either shady looking or charge for mods.

Does anyone know of some nice mods mainly to make the game look better, something like hi-res packs for textures or something? What do you recommend? Do such things exist?


 
I got some higher detail terrain for California from these guys, it's pretty good.

You'll find that most good mods cost money because the developers put substantial effort into them.

The last one I bought is Eaglesoft's Cirrus SR22 G2. It's pretty good, you can even deploy the parachute. But when I did it at 180 kts the aircraft and chute started tumbling end over end...
