Flight Sim X: 15GB Install!!!

I'm installing FSX and it requires 15GB to install. I wouldn't really mind that but the Dell E1505 I bought SPECIFICALLY for this game has TWO hard drives in it.

I ordered A 60GB HDD and freakin' Dell split it into a 36Gig and a 13Gig. After installing this game, I will have only 700mb left on my C drive and a useless "Backup" drive that I can't install crap to.

I'm gonna uninstall BF2142 from C and install it on D. That should free up almost 2gigs. 🙁

Yeah if I wasn't soo excited when I opened it up. First thing I did was pop BF2142 in this thing. Runs PERFECTLY.

repartition your hard drive and start over with a fresh install of windows... but if its "too late" for that, i suggest getting Partition Logic (free, get it at partitionlogic.org.uk) to make your entire hard drive one big partition. Still, the BEST thing you can do is wipe the entire hard drive clean, partition it to ONE giant ntfs partition that takes up the whole disk, and install windows from there. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WINDOWS INSTALL CD!

Just call up and say you need one. If it's still under warranty they should send you one.

I've got to admit, I was excited about FSX, but I was really disappointed when I got it. Even at the highest settings I can't get anything that looks like the screenshots and the layout of the places that I'm interested in is *awful*. FS 2004 was much more accurate.

Seems like they would have taken satellite photos of areas or something.
