When should I get to airport? I live 4hours away should I sleep in Houston or wakeup early and drive
 
Get there about 1 hour early, hour and a half if you want to grab something to eat before.

Wake up extra early and drive it. Check the typical wait times in the airport for that time of day to decide how early you need to be there.
 
Traffic should'nt be too bad comin down I10 at 5AM. I guess I would leave at around 1:30AM so you got plenty of time. You can sleep on the plane.
