Anyone have a recommendation for a good, budget joystick? I was thinking of this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-203-_-Product

or maybe:
http://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-T...pr_product_top

all I care about is that it works, doesn't require massive detection and calibration effort, and does not have an unreasonably large, "deadzone" I believe you call it? I don't mind using the keyboard for everything but the stick and basic firing buttons, I don't need a throttle or anything(yes I know the Thrustmaster I linked has one but I only linked it because it's still only $40).

I play Battlefield 2 and eventually battlefield 3, and in the meantime I might get DCS Blackshark, IL-2 or something of that nature. Or other good combat flight games as I find them.

I have the Thrustmaster stick. It works well with just about every game I've played.

Had no problems with it in Flight Simulator X, IL2 1946, and Wings of Prey.

I've used the one in the Newegg link for over three years straight on a near-daily basis for FS2004 and Il-2. For the money I'm surprised at how well it has held up, considering I use it everyday. Well worth the money.

That little circular-looking part beneath the two small rectangular buttons near the base is the throttle.
