Thats great, but isnt the front of the plane the worst place to be in a crash? 😕

Slightly, but you're talking about the difference between
really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really unlikely to die in a plane crash
vs

id say the inside was the worst part to be in during a crash

I'd rather be on the inside than the outside. :Q

"My husband is not going to want to get on a plane for at least a year," she said.

that's what i would have figured that anyone on that plane would have felt

Oh c'mon, you fall off the horse, you should get right back on.

Right?

Easy for me to say. 😱

Wait, so they got a full refund, plus a couple $thou and now they get free upgrades to 1st class?

I wanna be in a plane crash!

this is stupid.... why give them any fucking thing?

Did the company send out those birds that flew in front of the jet? No, those people are fucking fine and trying to get benefits from something they should just be damn happy they made it through

Funny - most US Air flights I've been on don't even have a 1st class sections - 3/4 of the flights are those stupid regional jets.

US Airways gave them this. The passengers probably didnt ask for it.

I flew them from Las Vegas to San Diego as part of a connecting AA flight. The plane was kind of ratty looking inside and the stewardess was pushing those $5 beers like her life depended on it. It was a cheap fair, so I didnt mind.

I am sure there are a lot of them eager to be first class jet setters after the experience.

lol, knowing a lot won't wanna fly is the perfect reason to give them free upgrades for a year.
They're not gonna lose much money here 🙂

Not to mention even outside this incident how few people book more than a flight every few years.

Should have been free first class for life plus up to one guest possibly. Very little impact on the company and a ton of goodwill to the victims. I would agree that free flight vouchers would just get sold off, but self-booked airfare should have been game.
