Flickers on monitors

Hello.

I have seen flickering beginning on several monitors (one of them my own). I know that bent pins on the connector sometimes causes this, but are there other causes and can they be fixed?

Do you have GSM (cellular) phones in the room near your monitor ? They cause a lot of flickers on all montitors around the house and the office. Other sources of trouble might be the power cord and unproperly seated video card.
