Flickering Samsung 955 DF

I have had this monitor about 4 months now and I loved it up till now. I moved to an old house and whenever I try and run the monitor at resolutions higher than 1024x 768 the screen flicker horribly. The power for the house enters outside my rooms wall and atfirst I thought this was the culprit. So I moved my rig to the other side of the room, with the same result. I then suspected it might be the power circuit I'm on. Different outlets don't seem to have any affect. My roommate has a pretty power hungry Kenwood hometheatre system that causes the monitor to flicker even at 1024x768 when it is on. My roommates monitor doesn't flicker at all and he has some pos compaq 17" running at its max res. Any ideas on how to solve this? Is my monitor defective after its trip from Oregon to Utah? Anyone? Bueller?.........
