Flickering problem with Q3 engine games?

I have Ti4200 with WIN XP.

And i seem to have flickering problem with shadows and some textures in Q3 and Q3 based games (such as wolfenstein).

is this a driver issue? or how do i fix it?

 
Not sure if this will help, but I used to have a bad flickering problem when I played Half Life on my GF2 GTS Ultra. The problem was that the aperature grill was set too low. I raised it and it fixed the problem. I forget exactly where I read about this problem, but flickering was listed with a host of possible causes. Try a search of "your card name + flickering" if my suggestion doesn't help.
