Hi,
I just received this card (again, a generic PCI TNT2 M64) in a trade, and am having trouble even booting into Win2000. Upon power-up, the card immediately and endlessly tries to change the resolution of my monitor (or what seems like a constant attempt to change the resolution); the result is a constant flickering of the screen (as happens when one manually changes the video resolution in Windows). When entering system CMOS, the flickering stops, and one is able to view the screen as one normally would. Exit CMOS, however, and the flickering begins again, and continues into the Win200 bootup process. Once in Win2000, the flickering (again, what seems like a constant attempt to change screen resolution) does not end, which is enough to drive one crazy! Any ideas? Could it be related to my MB at all? I'm not overclocking, and the PCI bus is running in spec.
System:
300W PS
Biostar M6TBA BX MB w/Celeron 366
TNT2 M64 32MB PCI (HS, but no cooling fan)
256MB SDRAM
40G IBM 60GXP HD
All other cards removed until problem resolved
