Via a few emails with ATI, its been determined that my card is defective and needs to be returned for service, but I wanted to know if anyone else experienced this.
I just recently went to a two monitor setup on my PC. I am not using a DVI monitor but rather the DVI to VGA adapter for the DVI head. I have the XP monitor drivers installed and all refresh rates set to manufacturer recommendations, yet the DVI output exhibits horrible flicker. As you move the mouse, the flicker intensifies. Its just on the DVI head as the VGA head yields fantastic performance.
Just curious if anyone else out there with the retail version of the Radeon 64mb 8500 ever tried using the DVI head and what they experienced, or maybe this is even a known issue.
