The airline (Continental) and the Canadian customs have all let me through to Canada without much trouble, but they have warned I am risking problems with US Immigration and customs when I try to get back into the US because the birth certificate was not a state issue one, rather a hospital issued one. I think I will be okay, maybe delayed, but eventually get through. Anyone have any similar experiences?

drivers license should work. new regs dont kick in till next year.

dont' show birth certificate unless they don't like your driver's license and ask for another type of ID, should not be a problem
