Flat Panel displays?

Do the Flat Panel displays require a special video card? (digital connector?) If so which one should I get for someone not into gaming?

Check on the specifications. Most are standard HD15 RGB in. Very few (SGI) are DVI only. DVI adapters are available. Flat panel technology today is VERY good. I'm using a SAMSUNG 170MP right now and the clarity is spectacular.
