Flat Panel Display Question - OLED, Electronic Ink, +

I have a number of questions in regards to Organic Light Emitting Diode, Electronic Ink, and Electronic Paper. If you can comment on one or more questions it would be greatly appreciated.

1. As of May 2003 are these technologies currently available for integrating with other technologies for mass market release?

2. I'm looking for technology that fits the following minimum requirements: At least 256 colors, 10 FPS, 60dpi, ghosting effects allowed, less than 4.5"L x 1.8"W display area, less than 2.5mm thick, and reflective/emissive. With current models of OLED and Electronic Ink/Paper, do they fit the aformentioned requirements or are they still a number of years away from these minimal details?

3. Can these technolgies be etched onto a gently curving surface?

4. What other flat panel display technology exists that could better fit my minimum requirements?

5. What we have in mind is placing the display technology onto a small, gently curving window which has a series of 1cm company logo plateaus which we fear will break the display's underlying electrode array because we want these plateaus to come through the display. Can these display technologies (or some other) be adjusted/customised to account for such an unusual surface area? Would such a modification be too costly from an engineering standpoint?

6. What would be the cost to a licensing company (who were to order lets say 200,000 units) for the display technology with dimensions <= 4.5"L x 1.8"W? I realize there are many other variables here but I'm just looking for the typical cost of these technolgoies.

7. Surprisingly, many manufacturers aren't very forthcoming with finer details about their technology, at least not through email, which I suppose is nothing new for businesses. Can you suggest any further avenues to explore in my quest for answers to the above questions, be it books, websites, newsgroups, or other forums.

Thanks a lot!

1) No. OLED is only passive matrix at this time and OLED desktop flat panals are not expected before 2004. 2006-07 should see OLEDs printed on plastic, or even on clothing for logos. It'll be 2010 before "continuous yards" or roll to roll OLED are printed, for things such as huge roll-up HDTVs.

I have no idea about the other techs you mention. I'd try google for more info.

OLED is currently passive matrix. Would you know the specs on this version of OLED, such as its refresh rate, # of colors, power consumption, image quality? How does it fare considering my min'm requirements? I wasnt too successful in finding these details on Google.

Thanks!
