Just finished a build for my friend. Trying to flash the x800gto2 to x800xt bios.

Epox 9npa+ Ultra
3500+ Clawhammer
1gb Xp4000 Redline
Sapphire x800GTO2
.

I'm using a samsung CD RW drive and a generic floppy, probably toshiba actually.

When I create a boot disc via CD, It recognizes it at post screen, but doesn't go any further.
With a floppy it will give the message "Remove all discs and media devices" etc.

Anyone know of an automated flash tool via windows? BTW, this card is amazing, I got up to 590 / 670 before seeing artifacts, it's seeing 6200 on 3dmark05 at 565 / 660, stock cooling.

And anyone know a 'hot spot' with the 3500+ clawhammer? it seems that this chip needs a bunch of volts, it needs +.025 just to hit ~2.5. Maybe I'm just too used to my northwood / opteron chips...;).

Create a WINDOWS boot floppy and then stick bios and flashing program on that. Then when you get to a prompt, just use w/e commands you use to flash it. And I don't think you can from windows, at least for Nvidia's

I think I said in first post that it says
"Remove all disks and media devices" when I try to boot from floppy.

Yes, well thats because you need to creat a WINDOWS boot disc using the format button. Check that little box that says "creat ms-dos startup disc" or something like that, I forgot the exact wording.

It gets passed now, but I now get an 'I/O Error' .

I'm too used to doing things on a DELL... :p.
