I am just setting up my new rig and wanted to flash the BIOS to the newest release but I don't have a floppy drive at the moment...

Is it possible to flash the BOIS without using a Floppy drive??? I looked on Asus's website but didn't really find anything definitive...

Any advice is appreciated.

any usb key should work (you have to make it bootable (I believe hp has a utility for that). You could also make a bootable cd with the bios (and the dos based flash utility).

If you install Windows, then you can use Asus's Windows-based utility to update the BIOS. It should be on the CD that came with the motherboard. more infos

I found something on a different site...the Asus update utility...apparently it allows you to update the BIOS in windows so that should work for me...

Thanks for the info guys...
