Catch 22.....My floppy (USB) is not bootable but the flash is suppose to make it. But how can I when I can't when the floppy isn't bootable?

I have tried to flash with a bootable cd but the program(PHLASH.EXE) says "Mem program running can't perform flash") Once again another catch 22 I can't load CD drivers in dos without himem. My HDD is NTFS.

Anyone have any ideas? Any other flash progs I can use? Anyway to flash in Windows?

Thx in advance.

Mess around with BFI (Build Floppy Image) - if you can make a floppy disk image file that includes the flashing program and the BIOS image, as well as the boot files, and use Nero to burn it to a disk, you shouldn't need CD drivers. The BIOS will handle the booting off of the CD - and with it, it'll also read the flasher and the image into memory, as the virtual A: that is the boot image. Hopefully you can flash from there then.
I've not had much of a chance to tinker with BFI yet though. Make sure that the CD is bootable and that all's well on that end before trying anything with the BIOS.
