Flashing my New Abit Pro w/ a Pentium D

I just got my Abit Pro mobo in the mail Now Here is whats going on-

I have my PSU/P180/2x1gb skill already.

I am selling my old rig to buy peripherals/HD/8400

I have peices from my old rig I could use temporarily in this new build (I can hardly wait)

Should I pop in the Pentium D + Older HD from dell to flash the bios to 15 Now or will that cause problems?

I mean I can wait until I just use the 8400...what do you guys recommend?

I don't think it'll cause any problems to pop in the Pentium D just to flash the bios, I did the same thing with my old Intel mobo. I had a Intel P965 board I just bought and used my Pentium 4 to flash the bios before I received my Conroe.

Theoretically I wouldn't need to connect the Perhipherals or HD right? If I just used the Jump drive Flash method?
