Flashing Linksys WRT54GL with Tomato

I just bought a Linksys WRT54GL and I plan on flashing it with Tomato. I use tomato on my Bufflo WHR-HP-G54 and I have never had a problem with it. It has been a while since I did this and I was wondering what the flash procedure is for the Linksys WRT54GL.

I am going to install a router for my folks so we can use our laptops when we visit and so they can eventually get a laptop. They are getting too old to mess with the rat's nest of cables and other BS associated with a PC. My dad keeps the PC messed up most of the time to where my mom can't use it anyway. I think if she had her own laptop she would actually learn how to use it. They are in their 80's and are pretty close to being computer illiterate.

I flashed my WRT54GL and the WRT54TM both with Tomato.

I think there has to be an initial flash then update it...okay after checking that might've been just the T-Mobile one. Try renaming it from .trx to .bin if it fails the first time.

Otherwise it should be pretty straightforward, remember sometimes you may need to set the IP manually (on the machine you're flashing) if it's not assigning them initially....

Well I got Tomato to install ok and it worked for a while but now I am getting the blinking light of death. Is my router toast? It was only on for a few ours. We went out for a couple hours and it worked fine right before we left and when we got back home the light was blinking and no internet access and I can't talk to the router at all. My browser does not even see it. I tried the power off and reset buttons to no avail.
