i purchased a P4 laptop with the i845MP chipset
the bios are too limited for me
would i be able to flash the bios to a desktop i845 motherboard's bios ??
anyone done this ??
 
No way! Laptop BIOSes are extremely hardware specific, and model specific, and below that - sub-model specific. Unless you can get a newer BIOS from your maker's web site specifically for your model, you are simply courting disaster. A laptop is not a desktop when it comes to mods and user changes. What exactly is it that it won't do that you have to have?
