Flashing Bios

I have a Gateway pc that has a D875PBZ mobo that I am trying to flash so I can change the aperture size of my video card and the clock speed of my ram. I dl'ed the bios update for the mobo, but it didn't work. any suggestions?

Are you sure the mobo is a D875PBZ and not a special revision of that board made for gateway? How exactly did the bios flash not work?
