What do i have to know? How effective/fail safe is it as opposed to DOS flashing using built-in awardflash? Thanks!

If you are talking about the ASUS Flash Utility that allows you to flash your BIOS while in Windows, I can tell you it is easy and lots simpler to do a BIOS flash. I have used it twice so far and it was a piece of cake to do. Just save the new BIOS to a seperate folder prior to running it. Once you have done the flash and have rebooted and reset yoru BIOS settings you can just delete that folder.

Which one are you talking about: the AWARDFLASH.exe, or the Lifeupdate is a piece of cake? Thanks!

Dang! Thank God i chose Asus, even if it meant paying extra 30 dollars! My BIOS got corrupted, pc died, i cleared CMoS, PC booted in 100mhz FSB mode, POST reporter said "Memory error or something", any attempt to set the fsb to 166 resulted in blank screen. So i did an update via Asus live update and 1005 Bios. KICK ASS! Nothing could bossibly be easier: and u have a fully functional PC (with internet) to get a BIOS to work!
Praise Asus!
