Obviously I am a win2k newbee, but here's the Q:
If I am using WIN2K how do I update my BIOS using a DOS flash utility.
I ask because I WILL have:
8k7A and Win 2k as the only installed OS.

My idea's are: boot from a DOS floppy and run from there,
or
Use WIN2K command propmt and do it in a windows.

I am thinking the first idea is better but what do you guys do?
I'd like to avoid a dual boot system.
thanks

Definately boot from a floppy. Unless your BIOS/Mobo supports flashing from within the OS. Even then I would still flash from a boot disk

Great, thanks guys!
But here's the thing. Can one create a DOS boot floppy in w2k? Should I make a bunch and save them before I get rid of my win9x machine.

How do you get a DOS boot floppy if your only OS is WIN2K. Am I missing something?

Use a new floppy disk, or format it with win98. Floppies formatted with w2k won't boot into DOS.
