I have an asus a7v133, and i need to flash the bios with a modded one. I downloaded the bios, and its a bin file, and I need to know how to correctly flash the bios. I will probably flash the bios, and then reinstall both win98se, then win2k.
How do i make the boot disk with the bios on it, work?

first, you need a regular 98 boot disk

second, you need to download the flash program "aflash.exe" from asus's site

third, you put both the downloaded bios AND the aflash.exe onto a second floppy disk

4th, you boot up off the 98 boot disk, get to a dos prompt, and then put in disk2

5th, you run 'aflash.exe' and back up your existing bios to the floppy

6th, you follow the commands and flash to the new bios (the only quirk here is that you have to put in the *exact" downloaded bios name i.e. a7v1007.awd or whatever it's called)

7th, bios is flashed, you reboot and go into bios and you *MUST* choose "load setup defaults"...then you reboot again and go back into the bios and make any changes you might need to make (because the defaults have been loaded)

and your all set!

i've got the same board, so let me know if you have anymore questions
