zener, if your friend didn't hose the boot block you can try this. On a bootable floppy add the flash utility and the bin file. Create an autoexec.bat file w/ one line. That line should call up the flash utility and corresponding bin file. Check the Award flash utility for the command line switches to flash the bios and reset. Watch the floppy drive light, and when it hasn't flashed for a while (minutes) take out the floppy and reboot. If the boot block hasn't been trashed you should have a functioning bios. You'll want to reset the bios at the first boot.
