Copy the Bios Flash utility and the bios bin file to a floppy. Note the name of the bin file. Restart to DOS, if using ME boot for the start disk to DOS.
Change drives and directories until you are in the same dir as awdflash and your *.bin file, at the command prompt type in awdflash and it then follow the instructions. It will ask you if you want to create a back up and will also ask you the name of the *.bin file.
When the bios has been flashed it will tell you to hit F1 or another key to restart, sometimes those keys dont work so just restart manually.

Whenever I have flashed the bios on my Abits boards the only setting that sometimes alters is the CPU frequency in the SoftMenu, so just check that after you have finished.

How's this:

When you go Abit's BIOS update site here, you click on your motherboard type and a window pops up that says, "If you need further instructions on updating your BIOS, please click here."

I think you should click it.

MisFit,

No I don't think so, I think ll531 may not have understood your answer... I thought maybe Abit's site would help more, it's got pictures.

Usually its in the lower left hand corner of your screen when your pc first boots, it will go by relatively quickly.
You can always download something like BIOS-ID which is found at this site
Identify Award Bios

If I remember correctly, the original board number, revision and bios info is on the bottom of the lowest ISA slot. If you screw up the flash you still may possibly get video using an ISA video card. Perhaps you should get all the info you possibly can before you commit. here is a good link to Abit info:http://www.geocities.com/abitinfo/

Why dont you tell us what board and revision and your hardware to better help you? good luck
EDIT: let me qualify and quantify what i stated above; you MAY possibly still have video via the ISA slot.
