Flashing a 9800pro

I curently own an MSI 9800pro and it has an xt core. Right out of the box it shows up as a radion 9800 XT, however, it ran at pro clock speeds. So then i used radlinker to OC it to a little above xt speeds, with core at 413, and ram at 380. I could probably go higher i just havn't tryed yet. Anyway i have read a bit about people flashing their 9800pros to the xt bios. What exactly is the advantage of this. I know it adds some sort of feture like OVERDRIVE tab. From my understanding this monitors gpu temps and ajust the lcock speed accordingly. But to do this my gpu would need to have a thermal diod in it. How do i tell if mine gpu has a thermal diod, and if it does how do i monitor the temps of my gpu? Sorry this post dosn't really have a concise quesion. There are just so many things i need to know hehe. Any help would be apriciated. Thanks

Regards

people say that the xt has better memory timings. But if that were true(no one has yet to prove it) it would offer less then 1% performance increase. Overdrive is also useless. Just oc your vpu if you want. Overdrive never overclocks the gpu more then 5mhz when its in use.

Other then the driver saying xt in it, you dont get much out of flashing.
