flashing a 7800gt t0 a 7900gt?

i currently have a evga 7900gt and a used evga 7800gt on the way. both have 256mb of mem. a 7800gtx has 24 pipelines and so does a 7900gt. the 7800gt has 20. i should be able to unlock the other four, right? i would really like to be able to sli these suckers...

what if i go the other way? both to 7800gt's? it would be much faster than a single 7900gt for sure...

I'm sure I saw somebody type that they are not the same thing. Didn't that click anywhere upstairs???
