I understand there is a BIOS available to flash your 8500LE to a full 8500.

Has anyone done this?? If so, how'd it go??

The RAM chips on my 8500LE are marked:

HY5DV641622AT-33

Anyone know what the specs are of this RAM???

Thanks....

edit..This is a 64mb 8500LE OEM

edit:
Extracted my current BIOS with ATIFLASH. Edited it with RadEdit1.1, and flashed it to the card with ATIFLASH.

Now my 8500LE runs at 8500 speeds without using a tweaker. 275/275

Your ram is 3.3ns which is great. I've flashed 3 cards with no problems. The only problem you may have is the voltage to your ram chips may be too low to support the higher speeds and may lock-up durring flashing due to an instant change to a higher speed. NOT Good.

What I suggest is that you simply use Rage3D Tweak and clock your card higher that way. You can slowly work you card up to core/mem speeds that suit it.
Try This
