Well with all the talk about flashing, upgrading, tweaking.....

I got serious about finding out which bios version was to work better on my KT7Raid

Started out with WW version of bios the most recent version available from Abit, all other setting were left the same, the only thing I did was flash the bios. The HD scores are averaged after three runs.

ww version Sandra HD score 39900

wz-04 latest Beta I think HD score of 37300

ul version HD score 39200

So I am going back to where I started, I satisfied myself and figure I may as well use the most recent Official version, just if I could be so lucky with the 4 n 1's

ADDED LATER IMPORTANT... When I went to put the ww bios back in the end, to get back to where I started, something very crappy happened.... My sandra score dropped from the 39 and above to 16000. I knew this was not right so I reloaded all the 2K drivers, still no change. So for the sake of it I re-did the ww bios, but this time I used the cammand line from abits' website to flash rather than the "runme.bat" file that came included with the bios, vthe command line is like this for those who dont know..

awdflash whatever.bin /cc /cd /cp /py /sn /cks /r

now as soon as I completed re-flashing and ran Sandra my HD scores were back to where they should have been. A note, originally when I went to the ww bios I had used the commad line. So I dont know if it was a fluke but the one time I ran the batch file I had a lower score.. the batch file seems to call this command line

AWDFLASH.EXE %1 /py /sn /cd /cp /cc

different, don't know what any of it means, if anything, but there you have it, I am back to 39 grand and am leaving it alone
