Hey guys,
I have a BBA Retail ATI 9800 Pro 256bit flashed to 9800 XT. I was worried about overhaeating and such cuz I am running stock cooling. I now under clocked it to 391.50 core and 364.50 memory. Is this safe, or is this too underclocked. Personally I think it looks good with AA and AF in CoD. Thanks for all you're help!

Sorry, but I have to ask. Why would you flash your card and then underclock as opposed to not flashing the card and just overclocking?

If the card can't run at the speeds it needs to run at, there is no point IMO. On top of that you're just asking for potential problems.

I thought it would be faster as an XT, however I didn't want to fry it cuz it has stock cooling. What can I safely put it up to without worrying about the vdi card frying?

buy a VGA cooler for 12 bucks pretty much anywhere
got mine at www.coolerguys.com for 11 i think?
128mb pro flashed to a 9800xt, overclocked past 9800xt regular settings
its worth the money, and the peace of mind

You need to slowly increase your clock speeds, then test for artifacts. Try atitool; it will aparently find out the maximum speed of your videocard. Do a google for it and download it.
