Just out curiousity, is it possible to buy these? What's the law regarding them?

Not a chance. Just imagine how popular they might be with those who rob convenience stores for a living....chuck a few in the door...grab the cash while everyone inside is wondering why they can't see and why their ears are bleeding...

They are prolly considered a Class C (or is it Class A?) firework and therefore, illegal to purchase or own unless you're licensed. I.E. Fireworks companies (Grucci Bros, for example) manufacture them.

These things aren't "explosives" BUT they ARE explosives. They DO explode and will take your hand off if it goes off in your hand. They are designed to disorient/blind the enemy...so you can more easily shoot them thru the head. :D

That's what I figured.

EDIT: MikeD, I know what they do, that's why I wanted to know. :) I thought maybe could buy them if you had the right license.

If I were to be so bold, I could drive 6 miles into the next town and buy fully operational hand grenades -without a licence.

Join a TACT or SWAT team and take one home with you after training. The cool thing about flashbangs is that they are reloadable. When you set one off the steel caseing stays intact. You just have to reload the explosive back into the canistor.

I don't know how much because I haven't been in in a while. But the shop is called "Fairly Honest Don's Machine Gun Parlor" -in which I can buy things like uzi's, .50cal sniper rifles (with a licence), and old bouncing bettys.

Yeah you can buy them, but you can only hold 2 of them, plus 1 HE grenade and a smoke grenade. I think they are $200 each, sometimes they are better than HE grenades, just make sure you listen for the "Fire in the hole" radio command and turn around when they are thrown at you so you dont get blinded.
