Flashback - Northwood A's

My dads mate is having a chuck out of old PC stuff he no longer uses and my dad is getting his hands on a P4 and board. The board is an EPoX EP 4SDM2 which from a little looking up is an mATX board.

I was wondering mainly how the Northwood A's overclocked. It looks fun for my next challenge. mATX board probably doesnt offer much option so Im not expecting miracles.

Since this will upgrade his aging websurfer PC (Slot A Athlon 700), I was wondering how well a Northwood A would perform under stock conditions as well as how hot they run etc.

Any info on them or the board would be useful.

The board has an sis650 chipset with integrated video, so don't expect much for overclocking. I had fair luck with my old 1.8a running it at 2400. I would search newegg for a refurb board with the 865 chipset. But if it's micro atx, don't expect too many overclocking options. The only brand that usually includes extra overclocking settings with integrated boards is abit.

If it does have some overclocking options, I might have some fun.
