Flash Video screen tearing in Firefox vs IE

I cannot stand the massive amount of screen tearing in Firefox while streaming flash videos. I have recently compared it to IE and the difference is huge - virtually no tearing at all Internet Explorer. Considering I can get most of my plugins in IE, I am considering the switch.

I have already tried disabling all add-ons and extensions, nothing helps. Weird thing is the tearing became much more noticeable when I upgraded displays, used to have a 1680x1050 22" and when I got a 27" 1440, screen tearing was impossible to ignore. IE is works perfectly fine with my new monitor!

It seems like Firefox is really bad at working with video cards to display graphics. I don't know why. Have you tried Chrome? I'd expect Flash performance similar to IE's there.

Yeah, I started testing it today and it is a lot better than Firefox, but somehow I think I.E. is just a bit better. I.E. is not an option anyway since a couple key extensions are missing, so i'm sticking to Chrome.

I am just surprised FF is so bad at this, I strongly suspect this has to do with monitors and/or graphics cards as you said.
