flash sites, do you like them?

am i the only one who hates these flash-based sites? slow to load, slow to navgiate b/c of all the shltty little sfx, non-standard and restrictive interface etc etc. yet i see more and more of these. do people actually like this garbage?

they are usually more annyoing than they are cool or entertaining

I usually like a good mix of function and form rather than useless fancy stuff

I know a few good flash designers, and despite how much people don't like flash sites, people pay a lot of money for them.

Hate them. I want to see sites that gets fast and straight to the actual content, not some bloated, pixelated bling-bling.

Depends on the purpose of my visit. If I just want info REALLY QUICK, they are annoying. Otherwise, I don't mind sitting through them unless they are teh suck.

I've never liked flash-only sites, such a pain, and it's obvious that they do it to either:

A) Be cool
B) Make it insanely hard to rip media from their site


I personally like to link to media on sites, or if it's something that's not copyrighted, host it myself if it's decent enough, sites that make it hard to download such media from them really aren't worth visiting.
